What you’ll need

  • A laptop from the last ~5 years.
  • Resolume Avenue or Arena — the free trial is fine for the first chapters.
  • A MIDI controller helps but isn’t required to start.
  • Headphones, and ideally a spare screen or projector to test output.

Why this course

Most people learn Resolume from scattered clips and pick up messy habits the first time it matters — on stage. This gives you one clear path: the workflow working VJs use, in the order that makes sense.

You start with the real basics and build until you can hold a room. 27 lessons across 4 chapters — by the end you won’t just know the buttons, you’ll know how to perform.

Tools you’ll meet.

  • Resolume Avenue
  • Resolume Arena
  • MIDI controller
  • Second screen

You only need a laptop — the free Resolume trial covers the first chapters.
